I've moved from the hormones and attitudes of 5th graders down to sweet little babies in 1st grade. It has been like a breath of fresh air and a much needed change for me! I'm learning how to wrap my brain around how different 1st graders are and how little they know at the start of the school year. This week I had to explain that the ridge at the top of your desk is for your pencil! I can no longer assume that they know something without first explaining it! Pray for me!
We've had some great Church over the summer as well! I'm so thankful that God has led us to our Church and allowed us to meet some of the people we have. Emma is loving the children's ministry there. Every Sunday on the way home she's raising her hands and singing praise and worship songs that she's been learning. This just thrills my heart to see her learning about Jesus.
Here are just a few pictures from our summer adventures. Beach trips, sprinkler time, first haircuts, swimming lessons, cupcakes, lazy afternoons and play dates with friends! We hate to see the summer go but I'm very much looking forward to fall and cooler weather. I'm fighting the urge right now to break out my decorations!
